Dokumentationszentrum Lusérn onlus

The Documentation Centre in Lusérn deals mainly with themes related to the First World War and the history and traditions of the village of Luserna.
 
Open from May to November, offers several permanent exhibitions focused on history and traditions of the local Cimbrian Community (Great War, Prehistoric Metallurgy, Fauna of Alpe Cimbra, Art of the lace). Moreover, every year are organized temporary exhibitions of historical, naturalistic and ethnographic character. Visiting the Documentation Centre is a must to dive in the Cimbrian culture that makes Lusérn an absolute excellence.
 
This museum boasts the brand name FAMILY IN TRENTINO which is a brand of attention promoted by the Autonomous Province of Trento, in recognition of the commitment to respect certain requirements to guarantee the welfare of families who turn to this reality.
 
The art of bobbin lace

The making process is typical of Luserna-Lusérn in fact, in 1883, the Ministry of Education in Vienna established the Professional School of three years to teach the craft to many girls. The Central Lace Course in Vienna dealt with the specialization of teachers, the supply of drawings and teaching materials and the marketing of lace.
 
Curiosity

Since 1996 there is a lace school promoted and supported by the Cimbrian Institute - Kulturinstitut Lusérn.
