Lavarone. With its narrow hairpin turns and the tunnels typical of roads built in the rock for war purposes (it was called Kaiserjägerweg), the ascent of Menador proved once again a climb of champions. Lavarone is part of the history of the Giro D’Italia.

LAVARONE TURNS PINK!The stage of the
Giro d’Italia that ended in Lavarone marked a historic moment for the town and the whole Alpe Cimbra, and contributed to promoting our area worldwide.
The organisation of the event started in October 2021 and was rewarded with an unforgettable day on May 25th 2022: the Municipality of Lavarone, Alpe Cimbra Tourist Office, Trentino Marketing and above all the enthusiasm of volunteers and associations contributed to a flawless organisation.
For the end of the stage, Lavarone truly turned pink (which had not happened since 1964) from the
Dragon, the
Belvedere Fortress, the Town Hall and Piazza Chiesa to the houses and all the decorations made by the citizens of Lavarone.
