11.08.2017 - An endless summer in Alpe Cimbra for bike-lovers and the planning for 2018 is already done!
Alpe Cimbra Bike Events, a huge event focused on the bike and dedicated to fanatic mountain bikers but also to beginners and families who want to approach to this amazing sport. These last will get closer and closer to the big main event by participating to a great variety of activities that will increase their confidence and ability.
23rd September 2017, the first save-the-date event: UP & DOWNHILL SUPERBIKE in its 1st edition.
A unique bike competition that consists of a timed uphill road bike competition and following off-road descent.
It includes two types of categories:
1- in a couple: at the end of the uphill climb, the athlete will pass the witness to his partner for the next off-road descent.
2- single hand: the athlete performs all the competition by himself, changing the bike at the stationary point.
For the "Marvel Heroes" we suggest the single race. A shuttle will take the road bike at the end of the first fraction.
The off-road rider, when passing the witness, will seat on the chairlift (1.280 m a.s.l.) to climb up to the descent starting point (Baita Tonda mountain hut, 1.640 m a.s.l.)
Single bikers are entitled to have an assistant on the chairlift to make the changing of clothing possible and avoiding to leave shoes, helmet and accessories along the ski slope below.
This is the first time that this competition takes place in Alpe Cimbra and, because of the innovative type of event, the enrolment will be limited.
