The lights within the darkness compose ephemeral figures that come and go while the cold of the night reminds you that you exist.
Ciaspomagna is an event that celebrates the magic of the mountain in winter, where sport, nature, and fun come together in a unique experience.
Walking with snowshoes, participants traverse snowy trails, immersed in enchanted landscapes where the silence of the snow surrounds each step. Among majestic peaks and snow-covered forests, people of all ages can rediscover the beauty of the mountains, exploring hidden places and enjoying extraordinary vistas. It’s an opportunity to connect with nature, breathing in fresh, pure air, while sharing the joy of an adventure that combines sport, relaxation, and the wonder of a timeless winter.
This is the ‘Ciaspomagna Cimbra’.
We set off from Malga Millegrobbe in the land of the last remaining Cimbrians, a sip of aperitif, a glance at the waning moon, and then off we go with switched-on mobile phones and headlamps lighting the way. You ascend in silence towards the trenches and are lightly touched by the breeze, which, if you listen hard enough, brings you the anguish of the young soldiers who fell up here. The snow crunches under the snowshoes.
You continue the march in the ‘Tannebalt’: it is a long snake, the fire lit at safe points shows the way.
The Cimbrian Ciaspomagna is the breath of the wind, the hooting of an owl, the glittering eyes of yesteryear. Above all, it is a 6.7 km long food and wine festival.
