Donne in Campo is the Italian association of women entrepreneurs and women in agriculture, recognized locally, at national, European, and international institutions, and appreciated by citizens who are familiar with agricultural markets and their high-quality products, as well as many other innovative initiatives.
The association creates networks of women in rural areas, fostering relationships between businesses and building local communities and groups. The extraordinary connection between women and agriculture is rooted in love for the land, attention to the healthiness of products and production processes, a commitment to passing down local cultures to future generations, and innovation, a key trait of female entrepreneurship.
Women in the Field aim to restore a healthy and balanced relationship with the environment and promote the full and free expression of entrepreneurial capabilities among Italian female farmers. They are dedicated to enhancing all eco-friendly agricultural production methods, with particular attention to soil stability and fertility. At the same time, they seek to introduce innovations through research in cultural, process, product, and business diversification to supplement income. They are committed to passing on agricultural values to younger generations through educational farms, offering their businesses to host the elderly, people with disabilities, marginalized individuals, and women in difficulty, and defending mountain agriculture. They are working to build childcare facilities within farms to teach children the value of agriculture and the environment and offer agricultural catering services to nearby cities.
